In-service trainings on soft skills development for civil servants

During May-June, 2017 a series of in-service trainings on soft skills development for civil servants will be conducted by the training team of the EU-funded project “Association 4U”.

Within the framework of the series of trainings six in-service trainings are planned to be held.  They will address the following topics: Organizing Effective Meetings, Negotiations and Human Resource Management. They will aim at improving such competences as: ability to develop strategies and agendas for meetings, knowledge and skills in managing human resources in public service, competences in note-taking, skills in choosing appropriate negotiation strategy etc.

Up to 30 participants will take part in every training. They are representatives of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, State Labour Service, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, GOEI, State Statistics Service, civil servants from other line Ministries.

 

The first training was launched on May 19, and dedicated to Organizing effective meetings. The training was conducted by the short term expert Marc van den Muijzenber, and senior training fellow Svitlana Batsyukova.

More in-service trainings will be conducted in May and June. These trainings will focus on change in the working environment, Strategic human resource management; Functional review and organizational development; Managing and leading teams; Performance management; Strategy, principles, rules and methods in negotiations.

The trainings will be conducted by the key experts and senior fellows of the Association4U project. All trainings of the series will be kindly hosted by the Yaroslav Mudry National Library of Ukraine.
