Three Junior Training fellows wanted for the Training team of the CMU

We are looking for

Three Junior Fellows to work with the Training Project Management Team of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, in supporting the development and delivery of a comprehensive training programme for newly-recruited Civil Servants for Ministry Strategic Planning Departments

This Team is responsible for delivery of training and development to newly-appointed staff (Heads of Directorates: State Experts) in the following areas: general public administration; the policy-making process; ‘soft skills’ such as leadership and communications skills. The Fellows appointed will carry out the following activities:

  • Liaison with training institutions (e.g. Kyiv School of Economics, British Council, NAUCS) in planning and organizing specific training events and trainers,
  • Planning of training schedules and of the overall programme,
  • Contact with trainees concerning preparation for and attendance at programmes,
  • Practical organization of specific training events,
  • Facilitation of training events including monitoring and evaluation.

This is an excellent opportunity for newly- or recently-qualified graduates to gain experience of working with high-level Civil Servants, Ukrainian and foreign experts, and to obtain skills and knowledge of a wide range of professional and business activities. 

The following professional qualities are required:

Education:

  • University-level Degree in  a relevant discipline (e.g. Public Administration, International Relations, Economics or Business);
  • (Would be an advantage): a certificate of proficiency in English (TOEFL, IELTS, or similar) or postgraduate studies/research fellowship in EU countries.

Work experience, knowledge and skills:

  • very good planning and organisational skills
  • ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including high-level Civil Servants
  • flexibility and ability to react quickly to obstacles and unforeseen circumstances
  • good presentation and communications skills
  • Good knowledge of English language
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Applicants must be organized and disciplined in order to meet deadlines, and able to work with minimum supervision.

Applicants must be Ukrainian citizens, and should not have been employed by the Ukrainian public administration in the six months prior to the closing date of this offer.
