Government Report on the implementation of Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union in 2017 was presented by the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration and Director General of the Government Office for the Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, as well as the EU Ambassador to Ukraine, the EU-funded project "Association4U" and other representatives of the European Union, Government, Parliament and civil society in Ukraine.

According to the Report, in 2017, Association Agreement was implemented by 41% (Verkhovna Rada — 30% of AA obligations, Government — 42%, other executive authorities — 50%). At the same time, the authors warn that percentages are only one way of many to visualize the progress. Adoption of a law is also a certain percentage of all eurointegration commitments.

23 systematic laws were adopted under Association Agreement in 2017 that allowed Ukraine to meet 100% of commitments in the spheres of education, training and youth, while in energy and humanitarian policy — both 71% of commitments, in the areas of entrepreneurship and overcoming technical barriers to trade — 62% and 59% respectively.

Groundbreaking changes in the implementation of AA cover issues of energy and energy efficiency, safety and quality of food products, implementation of international standards in the field of accounting and financial reporting, auditing, and others. Official negotiations on the conclusion of Agreements on Conformity Assessment and Acceptance of Industrial Goods (ACAA) that aim at reduction of technical barriers for Ukrainian industrial export were launched; the pan-Euro-Mediterranean Convention and the Agreement on Ukraine's Participation in the EU Program "Competitiveness of Small and Medium Enterprises (COSME)" were ratified.

In the opinion of Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, the changes that took place in 2017 make Ukraine’s European integration irreversible.
