Training: Evidence-Based Policy-Making

On May 21-24, 2018, the A4U Training Team delivered the “Evidence-Based Policy-Making” short training course for newly appointed experts from different ministries of Ukraine and A4U fellows. The aim of the course is to introduce the audience to the structured policy-making techniques and apply them to the real-life scenarios. This short course was hosted in the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

The course coach, Arjen van Ballegoyen, delivered a training on the theoretical and practical aspects of the policy-making and facilitated a session, where participants were able to apply new analytical techniques to real policy issues.

Due to the integrated approach, the training course was interesting and useful for professionals with different backgrounds and experiences, exposing them to theory and practice of decision-making and creating a platform for networking and experience sharing.

The participants represented various executive agencies, such as Government Office for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Defence and others.

Considering that several participants decided to take part in the training for the second time already, the “Evidence-Based Policy-Making” short training course justified efficiency of the proposed methodology and proved to be among the most popular short courses of the Association4U Project.
